Responding to Hoax Call
October 9, 2026 - 11:00 AM
At approximately 8:25 a.m., an unknown caller made threats to the safety of campus. UAPD responded immediately to Silas Hunt where the call was received. Doors were locked briefly in an abundance of caution while UAPD investigated. No credible evidence was found and the call was determined to be a hoax by 9 a.m. UAPD continues to investigate while patrolling campus.
RazALERT Test

A TEST of the RazALERT Emergency Notification System was sent out this morning at 11 a.m. In the event of a real campus emergency, up-to-date information will be provided on alerts.uark.edu. This was only a test.
Tornado Warning

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning affecting the entire campus. This warning means there is immediate danger for the campus, and that a tornado or funnel cloud has been spotted approaching the area. Move to a designated safe spot or interior portion of the closest building immediately. Monitor weather reports via TV or radio. Please share this information with individuals in your work and classroom area.
